Desktop Field Support (Tamil Nadu)
Job Description
1. Basic knowledge on Desktop/Laptop on-site and phone support;
o Printer/Fax support;
o Backup system support;
o Updating current infrastructure;
o Deploying new equipment;
2. Mailing System related issues ( Like Outlook/Lotus Notes)
3. Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware/software problems. When unable to resolve, escalate to second or third level in accordance with Service Desk escalation processes.
4. Maintain overall ownership of users issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls.
6. Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc.
7. Record incident resolutions in the Service Desk tool.
8. Provide enhancement request feedback to IT regarding technology environment and customer needs through the defined processes.
9. Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office 2007 products Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Windows XP, desktops, laptops, printers, networked copiers, NICs, basic LAN/WAN connectivity and others as assigned.
10. Monitor daily activities.
11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
12. Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts.
13. Flexible to work in field.
